Title: Attorney

Company: Cronin & Cronin Law Firm, PLLC

Location: Mineola, N.Y.

Birthplace: Manhasset, N.Y.

Education: Washington & Lee University, B.A./Maurice A. Dean School of Law, J.D.

First job outside of real estate: My first job out of college was assistant to the finance director at the National Republican Congressional Committee in Washington, D.C. I helped plan many political fundraisers while also acting as the liaison to the high dollar donors.

First job in real estate or allied field: During Law School I interned in the real estate department of Lazer, Apthekar, Rossella, and Yedid in Melville.

What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I practice in the field of tax certiorari, protesting the real property tax assessments for property owners and tax payers across the NYS. I have gained so much experience in my time with the firm and I hope to build on those experiences for the future.

How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? I live in Manhattan so when I need to relax I go for a run along the Westside Hwy.

Favorite book or author: I recently read and loved “New York, The Novel” by Edward Rutherfurd. It is historical fiction about the evolution of New York from the 17th century to present day told through the eyes of several immigrant families.

Last song you purchased/downloaded? Bright Eyes’ album, “I’m Wide Awake It’s Morning”

One word to describe your work environment: Ambitious

Rules to live by in business: There is always something new to learn.
